POLICE SEEKING INFORMATION ON MURDER OF CATRELL REED

FELONY THEFT AT HY-VEE, MOLINE - MO25-01508
June 19, 2025

Back in March, this subject entered Hy-Vee in Moline three different times and stuffed hygiene items and over-the-counter medicines in his coat. In total, he stole more than $3,000 worth of merchandise.  He fled the area in a 2020 white Honda Accord registered out of Chicago. He is described as a male, Hispanic, who was wearing a light-colored stocking cap, a dark gray Corn Husker’s jacket with a Large red “N” on the sleeve, gray sweatpants and brown boots. SUSPICIOUS DEATH STILL UNSOLVED -$4,000 REWARD - 2015-005062

MOTORCYCLES STOLEN IN ANDOVER IL STORAGE UNIT BURGLARIES - 2025-00542

MURDER OF JENTRELL LEE STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION - RI25-00371
March 28, 2025

On Sunday, January 26, 2025 at approximately 8:21 P.M. the Rock Island Police Department responded to a call of a gunshot victim at UnityPoint Trinity hospital. Upon arrival, officers learned that 16-year old Jentrell Lee was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, and had been dropped off by an unknown person. MAN STEALS PURSE AT 888 BISTRO - EM25-01213

On January 21, 2025, these two people bought  gas in Bettendorf using a debit card that had been stolen the night before in Andalusia. POLICE ASKING FOR HELP IDENTIFYING CAR THIEVES - RI25-00135

Rock Island Police took a report of a stolen 2022 Ford Bronco from the 1200 block of 37th Avenue.  The thieves were caught on video taking the Bronco on January 9th at about midnight. FIREARMS STOLEN IN EAST MOLINE HOME BURGLARY - CO24-03189

$1,000 REWARD - ARMED ROBBERY AT WALGREENS IN MILAN - MI24-00254
July 23, 2024

On May 12, 2024, two masked men walked into Walgreens in Milan just before closing at 10:00pm.  One of them displayed an AK-47 style rifle and demanded money.  They took an undisclosed amount of cash. The first suspect is described as a male, black, 5’7”-5’9” tall wearing a black Nike quarter zip shirt and black Nike shoes. He walked slightly pigeon-toed. The second suspect was carrying the rifle and is described as male, black, 5’10”-6’ tall wearing all black clothing and bright red shoes. MAN MURDERED IN KEWANEE - PERSON OF INTEREST SOUGHT - 2024-41786200419
June 21, 2024

The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 and the Henry Mercer County Investigative Task Force are investigating a homicide in Kewanee, Illinois. On June 8, 2024, the Kewanee Police Department responded to a welfare check in the 800 block of West Division Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Damon Foulks (Age 50) unresponsive and he was pronounced deceased. James Reed III (Age 26) from Kewanee has been identified as a person of interest. Agents are actively trying to locate Reed. Please do not approach him. MURDER OF TAVIAN PETERSEN-BROWN REMAINS UNSOLVED - $15000 REWARD OFFERED - RI22-07726

On October 31, 2018, shortly after 10:00 am, Corey Harrell Jr. was shot and killed while driving his vehicle in front of Moline City Hall.  It has been five years and no arrests have been made yet in this case.  Both the family and police are seeking justice.   

Moline Police are seeking further information on this case.  The crime occurred in broad daylight.  There were people in the area who may have seen something.  There are people who heard something.  if you have any information but haven’t said something, please come forward now.

MURDER OF AMANI KAMATA STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION - RI22-05716

On July 10, 2022 at about 7:00 am, Rock Island Police officers responded to the area of 12th Street and 10th Avenue on report of a male laying on the sidewalk.  They discovered that victim Amani Kamata was deceased from gunshot wounds to his chest.  Investigation revealed he was shot at around 11:30 pm on July 9th. COAL VALLEY ATTEMPTED MURDER STILL UNSOLVED - 2020-000246
March 19, 2021

One year ago, on March 11, 2020 at approximately 10:00 PM, an unknown suspect approached the front door of a home in the 1900 block of 1st Street, Coal Valley and knocked to make contact with the resident.  When the occupant of the residence answered the door, the unknown suspect shot the resident in the chest.  The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic or white male approximately 5’7”-5’10” tall with a slim build, dressed in a dark stocking cap, blue bandana covering his face from his eyes down, gray hooded sweatshirt with a lime green or yellow safety type vest over the sweatshirt and blue jeans.  The suspect is believed to have fled the area in a waiting vehicle, identified as a red or maroon late 2000 Nissan Altima, with at least one other occupant.  The Nissan fled the area southbound on 1st Street and then westbound on US Route 150.  Ballistic information has also been obtained.  At this time the Coal Valley Police Department continues to follow-up on all leads that continue to be generated.  Any person with information on this crime, please contact Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities at 309-762-9500 or use our mobile app P3 Tips.  You will remain anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.

FAMILY STILL WANTS ANSWERS IN THIS COLD CASE FATAL HIT AND RUN - 2003-004349
October 25, 2018

On August 3, 2003 at about 1:45 a.m. Shannon Williams, Age 29, was walking in the westbound lanes of Illinois Route 5 in East Moline when he was struck by an unknown passenger car, described as a white, early 90`s model sedan; possibly an Impala, Celebrity, LeSabre, Dynasty or Electra that has a square, boxy body style.  The car then fled the scene westbound on Route 5. Bystanders came from Two River`s Tavern (Now known as Chopper's) and rendered first aid to Williams, who was found lying on the north side of the westbound lanes.  Another bystander attempted to follow the suspect vehicle, but lost it in traffic somewhere near Barstow Road.  Williams was transported to Illini Hospital by ambulance, and was later transferred to Trinity West Medical Center, where died.  The public’s help is needed to solve this 15 year old cold case.  The family wants to know who hit Shannon and left the scene.  If you have information, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using the free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward of up to $2,500.
