On April 26, 2021, Hereford Park employees found that unknown suspects had  cut the locks of the gates leading to the restrooms and made entry.  Trash, clothing, and two bicycles were strewn about.  They also took the plumbing from both restrooms and damaged the electrical outlets. TRAILER STOLEN IN EAST MOLINE - 2021-001669

CHAIN SAWS STOLEN IN ROCK ISLAND - 2021-003856
April 26, 2021

SHOPLIFTERS HIT CITITRENDS - 2021-003265

On Saturday, April 3rd, these three ladies entered Cititrends, 1990 1st Street A, Moline, and loaded up a basket and their arms full of merchandise.  When the clerk turned her back, they ran out of the store.  One suspect was wearing all black. The second was wearing a white hat with her hair in a ponytail, white shirt, camo pants, and white Nike Air Force One shoes.  The third suspect was wearing a white shirt, white sweatpants, glasses and her hair was styled in two French braids.  They fled the area in a black Ford Focus with no plates.  They got away with over 40 items of children’s clothing valued at around $500. COAL VALLEY ATTEMPTED MURDER STILL UNSOLVED - 2020-000246
March 19, 2021

One year ago, on March 11, 2020 at approximately 10:00 PM, an unknown suspect approached the front door of a home in the 1900 block of 1st Street, Coal Valley and knocked to make contact with the resident.  When the occupant of the residence answered the door, the unknown suspect shot the resident in the chest.  The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic or white male approximately 5’7”-5’10” tall with a slim build, dressed in a dark stocking cap, blue bandana covering his face from his eyes down, gray hooded sweatshirt with a lime green or yellow safety type vest over the sweatshirt and blue jeans.  The suspect is believed to have fled the area in a waiting vehicle, identified as a red or maroon late 2000 Nissan Altima, with at least one other occupant.  The Nissan fled the area southbound on 1st Street and then westbound on US Route 150.  Ballistic information has also been obtained.  At this time the Coal Valley Police Department continues to follow-up on all leads that continue to be generated.  Any person with information on this crime, please contact Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities at 309-762-9500 or use our mobile app P3 Tips.  You will remain anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.

GUN CRIME INITIATIVE
March 12, 2021

TWO LADIES STEAL CLOTHES AT WALMART (2021-000913)

On January 22, 2021, these two females selected a cart full of merchandise at Walmart in Moline.  They proceeded to the self-check-out where they scanned all of the merchandise. The suspect tried to pay with two cards but both were declined.  At that time the females proceeded to push the cart full of merchandise out the doors without paying for it.  They left the store with $454 worth of stolen clothing.  They got into a black SUV and left the area. One suspect is described as heavy set, wearing a red baseball hat with a blue and red hoodie. The second suspect is described as heavy set, with bleached hair, wearing a black stocking cap and a gray, black and white hoodie with matching sweat pants. SUSPECT STEALING PURSES ALL OVER QC - 2020-009722
February 05, 2021

The pictured suspect has been stealing purses from grocery carts and at gas stations all over the QC.  He is described as Hispanic or a light-skinned African-American between the ages of 45-55.  He has a large build and wears glasses.  He walks with a wobble (might be slightly bow-legged).  He drives a 2011-2012 White Ford Edge that has a handicap placard hanging inside and no license plate. The Ford has unique wheels (see photo) and has black roof racks.  While inside grocery stores he will walk with a cart, or ride in a motorized cart.  He steals purses out of victims’ carts while they are not looking.  When the suspect steals purses at gas stations, he will get out of the passenger side of the Ford Edge and approach cars on the opposite side that the victim is pumping gas.  He carefully and quietly opens the car doors and steals purses from inside the victims’ vehicles. The Offender has also been known to steal purses while victims are putting air in their tires. WESTWOOD TERRACE BURGLARIZED - 2021-000633

On January 15, 2021, the office at Westwood Terrace Apartments, 2200 1st Street A, Moline was burglarized. The suspect(s) stole a Home Depot credit card and made purchases online in excess of $11,000.   The suspect(s) picked up the items purchased at Home Depot Stores in the Rockford area.  On January 21, 2021, this individual entered Fareway Meat and Grocery at 3705 25th Street Moline.  He walked into the management office and stole cash. This same subject has committed the same offense at Fareway stores in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Cedar Falls, Mason City, and Burlington. THIEF HITS WALMART TWICE - 2021-000478

On January 9, 2021, this suspect was seen entering Walmart in Moline. He selected 7 video games, hid them in his coat and proceeded to the family restroom in the rear of the store. The suspect then removed the games from their packaging and exited Walmart.  On January 11th, he is seen entering Walmart again and stealing 8 more video games in the same manner as the first time. TOBACCO OUTLET BROKEN INTO - 2020-33771

On the evening of Christmas day, the pictured suspect broke into the Tobacco Outlet located at  2312 State Street, Bettendorf. KWIK SHOP ROBBED - 2021-1912
January 15, 2021

On January 9, 2021 at 2:30 in the morning, Davenport Police responded to the Kwik Shop, 201 W. 53rd St., for a robbery that had just occurred.  The suspect entered the Kwik Shop while the clerk was in the back room.  The clerk heard the door and went to the counter.  The suspect walked behind the counter, displayed a box cutter and stated, “Give me all of the money.” While the clerk was trying to open the cash register, the suspect was able to press a button on the safe beneath counter and steal cash. SUSPECT COMMITS BANK FRAUD IN BETTENDORF

On November 4, 2020, a female entered the Blackhawk Bank and Trust, located at 4413 53rd Street in Bettendorf. The female purported herself to be a customer at the bank and made a fraudulent withdrawal of $7,500.  The suspect is described as being a white female between the ages of 45 and 55. She is approximately 5 foot tall and between 120 and 150 pounds. Investigation revealed the suspect female was associated with the pictured vehicle which is a black 2020 Buick Encore. SUSPECT HITS ROCK ISLAND SQUAD - 2020-009442

On December 30, 2020, the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford Escape with no license plates. SURGE OF CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS - 2020-011652

Multiple Quad City law enforcement agencies are requesting  assistance in the identification of the person or people involved in stealing catalytic converters of off vehicles. The catalytic converter is located in a vehicle’s  exhaust system. It chemically alters hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide and turns it into carbon dioxide and water vapor. CARS STOLEN FROM HILAND TOYOTA - 2020-010019/010122

This male is a suspect in the theft of two vehicles that occurred at Hiland Toyota on October 29, 2020 and November 1, 2020. The stolen vehicles were a 2018 black Toyota Highlander and a 2021 white Toyota Camry. Clinton Police recovered the Toyota.
