Moline Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying this man who got away with $500 in a quick change theft at Walmart on November 14, 2018.  He went up to a register and purchased a Red Bull energy drink with a 100 dollar bill.  He asked for different denominations back and set money aside then pocketed it. ABBEY STATION VANDALIZED - 2018-012985
November 21, 2018

During the early morning hours of November 15, 2018, Rock Island Police  responded to Abbey Station, 3031 5th Avenue, on the report of smoke. Officers found that six windows had been broken out and entry had been made. Plates in the kitchen were broken and ovens were turned on.  A thermostat was also broken.  There was no fire, but two fire extinguishers had been discharged. THEFT AT FAMILY VIDEO - 2018-012553
November 21, 2018

On November 17, 2018, this man entered Family Video, 4100 12th Avenue, Moline and went to the adult movie section.  When he was alone, he selected nine adult movies, took them out of the packaging and hid them on his person, leaving the store without paying for them.  The total value of the movies is $580.  Moline Police are asking for assistance identifying him.  He is described as male, white, 30-40 years old, heavy set with a red beard.  He was wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt with blue sleeves with an image of a large black spider on the front, and a black stocking cap with the Punisher logo on it.  If you know who he is, call the tip line 309-762-9500, or submit your tip using our free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.

UPDATE - MOLINE ROAD RAGE LEADS TO CHARGES
November 15, 2018

In October, the victim was driving northbound on I-74 and another vehicle was behind her, tailgating.  The suspect vehicle got in front of the victim and traffic slowed to a stop on the bridge.  The suspect exited his car, walked to the victim’s car and without warning, punched her in the head.   The suspect in this crime has been identified as JARQUIZ SUTTON who is from the Chicago area.  The vehicle he was driving at the time of the crime was stolen.  A warrant for Aggravated Battery has been issued for Sutton’s arrest in this case.  It is believed he is back in the Quad Cities area at this time.  If you know where he is call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using the free app P3 Tips.  You will remain anonymous and could earn a cash reward.

FELONY RETAIL THEFT AT JB HAWK - 2018-011501
November 15, 2018

This unknown female suspect described as in her 50’s, 5’7” tall, slightly overweight, came into JB Hawk Discount Tobacco and Vape located at 180 19th Avenue, Moline shortly after they opened on October 21, 2018, and requested 6 cartons of cigarettes.  She was in the store for about 15 minutes before asking for another carton.  When the clerk turned around to get it, the suspect grabbed the 6 cartons off the counter and fled the store without paying.  She got into a black SUV (possibly a Trailblazer) and left southbound on 2nd Street.  Full retail value of the cigarettes stolen was $432.  If you recognize her, call Crime Stoppers at 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using our free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.

UNCLE PETE'S BURGLARIZED - 2018-011947
November 15, 2018

On November 2, 2018,  Moline Police took a report of a burglary to Uncle Pete’s 3629 Avenue of the Cities.  The entrance door glass was smashed using a small hatchet which was left behind in the business.  Video showed the suspect enter and pull a cash register to the floor.  He then put a second register on the floor and attempted to open both of them.  The suspect picked up one of the registers and left with it.  He was inside the business for only one minute.  The register the suspect left with was located on the street in the 1800 block of 40th Street Court in Moline.  Video showed a light colored minivan dumping it out of the sliding rear passenger door as the vehicle was moving.  The suspect is described as possibly being a male black in his early 20’s wearing a light colored coat.  If you know who is responsible for this burglary, call Crime Stoppers at 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using our free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.

MOLINE POLICE ASKING FOR HELP ON HOMICIDE CASE 2018-011886

TWO LAUNDROMATS BURGLARIZED SAME DAY 2018-009900/2018-004421

On October 5, 2018 someone entered the Timberline Laundromat, Port Byron and tried to break into a coin machine.  On October 6th someone removed a computer system that controls the surveillance system at the laundromat.  There was no forced entry, so it is possible the computer was taken when the business was open.  The value of the missing computer system is $1,500.  Also on October 5th, the Neighborhood Laundromat located at 320 19th Street, East Moline was burglarized.  A large amount of coins were stolen from the change dispensing machines.  Several of the change dispensing machines were damaged in the process of the burglary. THEFT REPORTED AT CORDOVA DRAGWAY - 2018-010029
November 01, 2018

During the early morning hours (between 1 and 2 AM) October 6th, someone entered the property at Cordova Dragway.  They then broke into several pop machines and took the cash.  They also removed an ATM from the property.  They likely transported it on a golf cart to the back of the property and removed the lower portion where the cash is.   The rest of the ATM was left behind.  Suspects cut the fence on the property as they left with the ATM. STORAGE UNIT BURGLARY SUSPECT SOUGHT - 2018-003192
November 01, 2018

During the early morning hours of October 22, 2018, a grey Kia Sportage operated by James Kenney pulled into the Airport Road Mini Storage Units, Milan.  The Airport Road Mini Storage had been the victim of several criminal damages to property and burglaries recently.  The grey Kia Sportage matched the suspect vehicle in prior incidents on video.  Officers were patrolling the storage units and attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  The vehicle fled from Milan officers.  James Kenney, in the same vehicle, is on video surveillance in Moline committing storage unit burglaries. Kenney has no confirmed address but stays in the Davenport area. FAMILY STILL WANTS ANSWERS IN THIS COLD CASE FATAL HIT AND RUN - 2003-004349
October 25, 2018

On August 3, 2003 at about 1:45 a.m. Shannon Williams, Age 29, was walking in the westbound lanes of Illinois Route 5 in East Moline when he was struck by an unknown passenger car, described as a white, early 90`s model sedan; possibly an Impala, Celebrity, LeSabre, Dynasty or Electra that has a square, boxy body style.  The car then fled the scene westbound on Route 5. Bystanders came from Two River`s Tavern (Now known as Chopper's) and rendered first aid to Williams, who was found lying on the north side of the westbound lanes.  Another bystander attempted to follow the suspect vehicle, but lost it in traffic somewhere near Barstow Road.  Williams was transported to Illini Hospital by ambulance, and was later transferred to Trinity West Medical Center, where died.  The public’s help is needed to solve this 15 year old cold case.  The family wants to know who hit Shannon and left the scene.  If you have information, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using the free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward of up to $2,500.

BIKE STOLEN FROM UTHS STUDENT

A 14 year old student from UTHS rode his Green DK Legend BMX bicycle with black rims to McDonald’s in East Moline on Friday, October 19th.  The bike was stolen while he was inside.  The bike has a black seat with a tear in it.   Witnesses have stated that they have seen the bike on a few occasions after school or early evening hours near Burger King, Deerfield Woods and Crown Forest apartments in East Moline.  The bike has a $700 value.  If you know who is responsible, call the tip line or tap the app P3 Tips, or use UTHS’s P3 Campus app. All tips are anonymous.

VON MAUR THEFT UNDER INVESTIGATION 2018-011211

On October 13, 2018, this couple entered Von Maur in Southpark Mall Moline and carried out $400 worth of clothing they hadn’t paid for.  Store Security confronted them in the parking lot and recovered the merchandise.  However, the suspects fled the area to avoid arrest.  They were driving a silver Saturn with partial Iowa registration of “HHN”.

CREDIT CARD STOLEN AT BETTENDORF YMCA

MOTORCYCLIST FLEES FROM ROCK ISLAND POLICE 2018-011100

BURGLAR HITS 3 CARS AT A EAST MOLINE HOME 2018-004281

On September 27, 2018, this subject entered three cars parked in the driveway of a residence in the 2100 block of 4th Avenue, East Moline. He is described as a male, white wearing a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants. The person’s image was captured on the victim’s surveillance camera. After rifling through those 3 vehicles he walked across the street and attempted to enter another vehicle but it was locked and he left the area. The subject only took a set of keys to one of the vehicles but did not take the vehicle at that time. On September 25th, Rock Island Police took a burglary report in the 2500 block of 20th Avenue.  At about 2 in the morning, two male black suspects were caught on surveillance entering a Jeep.  They used the garage door opener to get into the garage and steal a bicycle.  The bike was recovered down the block but the suspects still have the garage door remote. OLD TOWNE BARBER BURGLARIZED 2018-008219
September 27, 2018

On September 19th at around 2:00 am. An unknown suspect entered Old Towne Barber Shop, 905 18th Avenue, Moline, by busting a window on the north side of the building. The suspect stole a Kindle tablet, a security camera, and about $10 in quarters from a glass jar.
