Officers responded to an alarm at the 5 Star Wireless store, 4107 44th Avenue, Moline and discovered someone had forced entry to the business. By breaking the through the glass front door. THIEF ON A BIKE HITS TREVOR TRUE VALUE 2018-004016

The suspect pictured here made numerous visits to Trevor True Value on 16TH Street recently and has stolen 3 Dewalt lithium battery packs valued at $360.  The suspect is described as male, Hispanic, 6`1” tall, 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, with a red hooded sweatshirt, dark stocking cap, dark tennis shoes and blue jeans. CAMAROS STOLEN IN MILAN 2018-001386

Sometime between the evening of Saturday May 12th and Sunday May 13th at 5pm, unknown suspects stole three Chevy Camaros from the lot at  Bob Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan.  All the cars had lock boxes removed to gained access to them. THEFT AT BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY 05/04/2018

On May 4, 2018, These two women entered Burlington Coat Factory in Bettendorf and stole a  detacher tool that employees use to remove security tags off merchandise.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize why they stole it.  These ladies are likely career shoplifters.

SPEAKERS STOLEN AT WALMART - CAN YOU IDENTIFY? 2018-003725

On April 11th, this male black subject entered Walmart in Moline. He walked back to the electronics department, selected a Bose speaker and put it in his cart.  He then went to the automotive section and selected several items.  He went back to the electronics department again and selected another Bose speaker.  He walked to the pet department and hid the speakers under 3 bags of dog food.  He then walked out of the store without paying for any of it.  He hid the merchandise outside in the lawn section and came back for it about 15 minutes later.  Total value of the stolen items was about $550.  The suspect faces a felony charge when he is identified and caught.

BURGLARY REPORTED AT JUNIORS SPORTS BAR 2018-001974

At about 3:30 in the morning on May 2nd, East Moline Police responded to Juniors Sports Bar, 1408 6th Street, East Moline on a burglar alarm. The suspect was gone on arrival.  He is seen on surveillance video walking from the west in the north alley, approaching the business and prying open the front door.  Once inside, the suspect pried open a slot machine and took the cash box. THEFT OF JEEP PARTS IN ROCK ISLAND 2018-004863

During the late evening early morning hours of April 20th-May 1, someone reported to the victim that the doors of his silver 2003 Jeep Wrangler were missing (see photo).  The victim had parked in a parking lot at Group O, 2916 78th Avenue West, Rock Island. CHILDREN PUT IN DANGER AS CAR FLEES THROUGH SCHOOL ZONE 2018-001851

The East Moline Police Department is looking for a red Toyota Corolla that drove at a high rate of speed through a school zone and fled from an officer.  At approximately 2:54pm on April 25th, an officer monitoring the school zone near 30th Avenue and 7th Street observed this vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.  The officer attempted to stop the vehicle but it fled from the police.  The speed limits through a school zone are 20 mph for the safety of students as they come and go from school.  Children are often unpredictable and motorists need to be watchful and drive with caution in school zones.  This driver was irresponsible and reckless with their driving behavior.  Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the vehicle and driver to ensure both motorists and pedestrians have safe pathways in our community.  If you know who was involved in this incident you can call the East Moline Police Department at 309-752-1547, or Crime Stoppers at 309-762-9500, or use the smartphone app P3 Tips.  If your information leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward.

S&K MINI-MART BURGLARIZED 2018-001796

On April 23rd at 5:12 AM, East Moline Police responded to a burglar alarm at S & K Mini Mart, 4400 Kennedy Drive.  A window on the southwest side had been broken out.   The suspect entered through the broken window and took cigars and over $4,000 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets.  Video surveillance shows the suspect prying on the back door with a crow bar but he is not successful getting in.  The image quality is poor but the suspect appears to be wearing a  black hat, black gloves and a dark colored coat.  If you know someone who is in possession of a lot of scratch-off lottery tickets, or if you know who did this, contact Crime Stoppers by calling 309-762-9500, tap the app P3 Tips or click on "Submit a Tip."  You could earn a cash reward.

SHOTS FIRED IN MOLINE 2018-004102

On April 20 at 6:35 pm, witnesses reported two male black suspects were shooting at a residence near 4503 12th Avenue, Moline.  Witnesses described one suspect as 18-21 years old wearing white pants, a black hoodie and he had nose length dreadlocks.  Witnesses advised they saw him fire 4 shots into the apartment complex.  The suspects left in a white sedan.   A bullet struck a residence and vehicle near the apartment complex.  Multiple 9mm shell casings were located at the scene.   If you know who is responsible for this shooting call the tip line 309-762-9500, tap the app P3 Tips or click on "Submit a Tip."

BURKE CLEANERS ROBBED 2018-003897 ** UPDATE **

**UPDATE** Regarding the robbery at Burke Cleaners on  April 16th, Moline Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the owner/driver of this black or dark colored car that appears to be a Dodge Intrepid.   It was in the area of Burke Cleaners at the time of the robbery.  They would like to question this person. On April 16th, 2018, at approximately 07:00 AM, Moline Police responded to Burke Cleaners, 3024 Avenue of the Cities in reference to an armed robbery.  The suspect, described as a male/white, blonde hair, 35-45 years of age wearing grey sweatpants and a grey hooded sweatshirt entered the business, inquired about prices and then pulled out a pair of scissors and demanded money from the cash register. SHOTS FIRED IN EAST MOLINE 2018-001618
April 19, 2018

Shots were heard in the area of 1300 block of 12th Avenue East Moline on April 17th at 2:35 in the morning. A witness reported hearing the shots and seeing a red PT Cruiser and a black passenger car following each other on 12th Avenue.  The witness was unsure but thought the two vehicles may have been shooting at each other. Police recovered 40 caliber casings from the north side of 12th Avenue.  Two parked vehicles in the area were damaged by flying bullets. A house was peppered with bullets causing damage to three windows, deck and the siding.  Four bullets penetrated into the home causing damage to walls and a TV.  One of the bullets went through the victim’s freezer, penetrating a popsicle. SHOPLIFTERS AT DICK'S SPORTING GOODS 2018-002270

COUNTERFEIT $50 PASSED AT 7-11 2018-003295

On March 31st, this subject used a counterfeit $50.00 dollar bill at 7-Eleven in Moline to pay for a pack of cigarettes. He is described as being a white, male, with short dark chair, wearing a dark colored shirt and blue jeans. HOUSE BURGLARIZED IN BETTENDORF

GUN STOLEN IN CAR THEFT 2018-002879

On March 28th 2018, just after midnight, a white 1995 GMC Sierra was stolen from a driveway in Port Byron, Illinois.  The car was recovered but there was a rifle in the car that was not recovered. The rifle described as a black Savage 12 FV .223 caliber rifle, gray synthetic stock, 5 shot top loader, with a Nikon scope, in a camouflage soft case.  The weapon is valued at $1500.    With the warm weather, the number of these kinds of crimes will be increasing.  The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office is stressing the importance of locking your vehicles and taking the keys and any valuables with you.  Don’t make it easy!   If you have information about this crime call the tip line 309-762-9500 or tap the app P3 Tips.

DUFFLE BAG THIEVES - 2018-001447

On February 10, 2018 three subjects stole over $3,500 on merchandise from Walmart in Moline.  One of them has been identified but Officer Feehan needs help in identifying the other two.  They left the store through an emergency exit with 3 or 4 stolen duffle bags full of stolen electronics. PRESCRIPTION FRAUD IN EAST MOLINE 2018-000630

CREDIT CARD STOLEN IN DAVENPORT, USED IN MOLINE (2018-002909)
