She left the store without paying for anything. The total value of the stolen items was over $400. The suspect was wearing a black coat, black pants, beige shoes, and a black stocking cap with white letters on the front. She was carrying a large tote bag with a checkered pattern on it. On February 17, 2024, at approximately 6:43 am, Moline Police responded to a burglary report. A Rock Island County Sheriff's Office squad car was burglarized overnight. The suspect(s) broke a window and stole a department-issued Rock River Arms LAR 15 rifle. The rifle was stored in a rifle case along with a magazine. On February 17th, a concerned citizen located a rifle case and magazine discarded in a roadway in Moline. The hard case and magazine were confirmed to be the property of Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office. On October 24, 2023 at 12:25 pm, the pictured suspect (wearing a bucket hat and glasses) used a cloned credit card with the victim’s skimmed card data to obtain $482.50 from the ATM located inside Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh in Bettendorf. The victim’s card information was likely skimmed in the Clinton, Iowa area.
The suspect wearing a ball cap used the same M.O. in Davenport. He also used cloned debit cards skimmed across Iowa in mid-November. It was noticed that this suspect had a European accent. He used the cards to make withdrawals from ATM’S located in smaller bars, convenience stores and grocery stores. It’s likely these two suspects are part of a bigger crime ring. On August 11, 2023 at around midnight, the resident of a home in the 400 block of South Pioneer Drive in Long Grove, Iowa was sitting on his couch when a man kicked in his door and entered his living room. Upon seeing the home owner on the couch, the suspect ran out of the house. Needless to say, the home owner was startled by this invasion. He described the suspect as a male, white, in his 20's or 30's, 5'9" to 6' tall, heavier build, wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans. The suspect damaged the door frame. April 29th is the 8-year anniversary of the suspicious death of Sam Davis. On that day in 2015, he was found deceased in the river along the bike path in Rock Island. Rock Island Police don’t know exactly how Sam died, but his bike was found in the river near his body. Investigators believe he was going to meet someone near the area where his body was located. They discovered that victim Amani Kamata was deceased from gunshot wounds to his chest. Investigation revealed he was shot at around 11:30 pm on July 9th. Amani and his family migrated to the United States for a better life. His opportunity was cut short and his family deserves justice. COAL VALLEY ATTEMPTED MURDER STILL UNSOLVED - 2020-000246

One year ago, on March 11, 2020 at approximately 10:00 PM, an unknown suspect approached the front door of a home in the 1900 block of 1st Street, Coal Valley and knocked to make contact with the resident. When the occupant of the residence answered the door, the unknown suspect shot the resident in the chest. The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic or white male approximately 5’7”-5’10” tall with a slim build, dressed in a dark stocking cap, blue bandana covering his face from his eyes down, gray hooded sweatshirt with a lime green or yellow safety type vest over the sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect is believed to have fled the area in a waiting vehicle, identified as a red or maroon late 2000 Nissan Altima, with at least one other occupant. The Nissan fled the area southbound on 1st Street and then westbound on US Route 150. Ballistic information has also been obtained. FAMILY STILL WANTS ANSWERS IN THIS COLD CASE FATAL HIT AND RUN - 2003-004349

On August 3, 2003 at about 1:45 a.m. Shannon Williams, Age 29, was walking in the westbound lanes of Illinois Route 5 in East Moline when he was struck by an unknown passenger car, described as a white, early 90`s model sedan; possibly an Impala, Celebrity, LeSabre, Dynasty or Electra that has a square, boxy body style. The car then fled the scene westbound on Route 5. Bystanders came from Two River`s Tavern (Now known as Chopper's) and rendered first aid to Williams, who was found lying on the north side of the westbound lanes. Another bystander attempted to follow the suspect vehicle, but lost it in traffic somewhere near Barstow Road. Williams was transported to Illini Hospital by ambulance, and was later transferred to Trinity West Medical Center, where died. The public’s help is needed to solve this 15 year old cold case. On January 26, 2018, Davenport Police were called to the 1300 block of Warren Street and found that 17 year old Angel Herrera had been shot. He was transported to the hospital where he died. On Wednesday June 27, Angel would have turned 18 years old. Angel’s family deserves to see justice.
