COPPER STOLEN FROM NATIONAL RAILWAY - SI23-00279

Several times during the month of February 2023, this unknown suspect entered the property and buildings belonging to National Railway, 300 N. 9th Street, Silvis. A large amount of copper wiring and copper coils were stolen. He had climbed up utility poles and cut down the wire. The suspect who was caught on camera is described as Caucasian, wearing camouflage clothing. FIRE REPORTED TO BE AN ARSON
March 10, 2023

On February 11, 2023 at 7:53 p.m. the Davenport Fire Department was dispatched to the Ground Transportation Center located at 304 W. River Drive for an outside fire next to the building. Fire crews arrived on scene and found a sprinkler head activated on the outside of the building and a plastic trash can was completely consumed by fire and smoldering. The video shows a white male wearing blue jeans, dark jacket and a blue bucket hat walk over to the trash can and set it on fire. The two windows directly above it were broken due to the heat.  If it was not for the sprinkler system, the fire would have extended into the building. Davenport Fire Department is currently looking for help to identify the individual who is responsible for lighting the fire. $2,500 REWARD - MURDER OF DIMITRI MARTIN - 2023-14770

On Friday, March 3, 2023 at about 12:45 AM, Dimitri Martin, Age 34, was gunned down and killed in the area of Third and Ripley in Davenport.  The Davenport Police Department is seeking our community’s assistance in locating an involved vehicle along with any associated individuals. This vehicle appears to have the following unique characteristics as of March 3, 2023:
 
• Dark colored, possibly dark blue four door sedan
• Headlamps have a blue tint, possibly LED
• Front two windows stock or un-tinted
• Chrome trim around windows
• Turn signal on the side mirror housing
• Third brake light at the bottom of the back window
• Dual exhaust
• No exterior damage

TWO PEOPLE SHOT IN ROCK ISLAND - RI23-01098

MAN ASSAULTS PATRON AT PUB 1848 - MO23-00980

Moline Police were called to Pub 1848 in Moline on February 17th on report of a fight.  While inside the bar, this male suspect punched the victim, causing him to lose consciousness. The suspect then quickly left the bar. The suspect was wearing a black tee-shirt and a white and red baseball cap. MONTE CARLO STOLEN FROM STORAGE UNIT - CO23-00245

FIRE DEEMED AN ARSON - CO23-00308

Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an arson that occurred on February 3, 2023 at about 4:00 am,  in the 1700 block of North Shore Drive, Moline.  Three people in the house at the time were able to get out of the house without injury.  The pictured individual is a person of interest who was seen leaving the area at the time of the fire. MURDER OF AMANI KAMATA STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION - RI22-05716
January 20, 2023

On July 10, 2022 at about 7:00 am, Rock Island Police officers responded to the area of 12th Street and 10th Avenue on report of a male laying on the sidewalk.  They discovered that victim Amani Kamata was deceased from gunshot wounds to his chest.  Investigation revealed he was shot at around 11:30 pm on July 9th. CARDS STOLEN IN CAR BURGLARY - MO23-00177

On the afternoon of January 7, 2023, Moline Police took a report of a car burglary in the 3300 block of 14th Street.  Suspects took the victim’s purse.  The victim’s credit card was used soon after at the Moline Walmart to purchase over $500 in gift cards.  The two suspects are described as young African Americans wearing dark clothing and face coverings.  One has on a black Nike hoodie. On December 19, 2022 between about 3pm and 5pm, a victim had her wallet taken at Marshall's in Moline. Her cards were then used at Walmart. The two pictured suspects are the ones who used the stolen credit cards. The male has scripted hand tattoos on both of his hands and the female has very long braided/dreaded hair. They purchased around $800 worth of gift cards with the victim's card. CAR INTENTIONALLY SET ON FIRE IN EAST MOLINE - EM22-04997

On December 11, 2022 at about 5 in the morning, East Moline Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of 15th Street for a vehicle fire. After the fire was extinguished, the fire department found a plastic bottle on the rear seat that smelled like gas.  Three male suspects, all wearing dark clothing, were captured on surveillance video. One of them is seen throwing an object through the front driver side window. HOME INVASION/ARMED ROBBERY UNSOLVED IN COAL VALLEY - CF22-00945
December 09, 2022

On November 28th, 2022 at approximately 11:15 pm, the Coal Valley Police Department was dispatched to 119 W 8th Street to investigate the report of a home invasion. Upon officers’ arrival, they were met by the victim who stated that two male suspects wearing masks forced their way into the residence through the back door of the mobile home.  Their masks were described as women’s nylons over their heads.  Both suspects were described as being between 5’10” and 6’2” tall.  One suspect, who was giving orders to the victim, was armed with a semi-automatic pistol and threatened to shoot him if he did not comply.  The suspect demanded the victim turn over his money.  The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and both suspects left the mobile home on foot in an unknown direction.  Taken during this home invasion was a large amount of cash and the victim’s .38 caliber revolver. DOLLAR TREE ROBBED IN DAVENPORT - 2022-76937

DAMAGE DONE IN SHOOTING IN MILAN - MI22-01377
November 18, 2022

On October 11, 2022 at approximately 12:43 AM, Milan Police Department responded to an alarm call at Blackhawk Bank and Trust, 334 West 2nd Avenue. A truck parked outside the business and the Blackhawk Bank and Trust building were struck and sustained significant damage.  Video surveillance was obtained of the suspect vehicle which is described as an early model 2000's Red Dodge Durango with a black or grey stripe on the hood and a luggage rack on top. The driver side mirror is also missing.  Pictured is the suspect vehicle, which had 2 occupants at the time of the shooting. POLICE SEEKING INFORMATION ON MURDER OF COREY HARRELL JR.
October 28, 2022

On October 31, 2018, Corey Harrell Jr. was shot and killed while driving his vehicle in front of Moline City Hall.  It has been four years and no arrests have been made yet in this case.  Both the family and police are seeking justice.   Moline Police have indicated 3 persons of interest in this case:  Alonzo Cole, Age 24; Thomas Elijah-Hughes, Age 22; Preston Orr, Age 26. 

Moline Police are seeking further information on this case.  The crime occurred in broad daylight.  There were people in the area who may have seen something.  If you saw something but haven’t said something, please come forward now.
